Philip Greer is a Senior Advisor at Rockefeller Capital Management. Prior to joining Rockefeller, Mr. Greer was the founder of Greer Anderson Capital. Before co-founding Greer Anderson Capital LLC in 2008, Mr. Greer was a founding partner, Senior Managing Partner, and member of the Executive Committee of Weiss, Peck & Greer (“WPG”) from 1971 to 1998. WPG managed in excess of $20 billion and was sold in 1998 to Robeco, an investment management firm based in Rotterdam. Mr. Greer remained with the firm through 2002. Mr. Greer was an early-stage investor through WPG venture funds and served as a director of Federal Express Corporation from 1974 to 2008. He was Chairman of the FedEx board’s Compensation Committee for five years, and, before that, was Chairman of the Audit Committee for 25 years. Mr. Greer was also a director of The Robert Mondavi Corporation from 1992 to 2004, where he served as Chairman of the Audit Committee. Mr. Greer has served for 25 years as a trustee of Deerfield Academy and was President of the Board from 2008 to 2014. He has been elected one of two lifetime trustees in the history of the school. Mr. Greer served as a trustee of the Board of Administrators of Tulane University from 1998 to 2009, including a three-year term as Chairman. Mr. Greer holds an A.B. degree from Princeton University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
