Kristen Richards is a Private Advisor and Senior Vice President at Variant Path Group within the Rockefeller Global Family Office. With attention to detail, discipline and patience, Kristen guides clients through holistic wealth planning using a comprehensive process that honors their values and serves as a touchstone for financial decisions.

After graduating from Winthrop University with a degree in Business and concentration in Finance, Kristen began her career at a Fortune 500 bank where she focused on executive compensation plans and advised executives on employer stock options and other benefits-related issues. Before joining Rockefeller in 2024, Kristen spent nearly 25 years at Morgan Stanley building relationships with and tailoring wealth management solutions for successful families and individuals seeking to grow, protect, enjoy and distribute their wealth.

As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and Certified Private Wealth Advisor® professional, Kristen understands the unique challenges and opportunities that accompany significant wealth and is passionate about helping clients articulate and achieve their goals.

Outside of the office, Kristen enjoys running, reading, watching football and spending time with her husband, Mark, and their three children. She cares deeply about her community and is a founding member of the Charlotte chapter of National Charity League, an organization that brings mothers and daughters together in the service of local not-for-profits.
