John G. Uriostegui, CIMA®

As co-founder of theUgroup, John is responsible for advising clients on business and wealth strategy, asset allocation and investments. He has over 32 years of industry experience and utilizes a developed and refined process that is designed to help families put the pieces of their financial puzzle together. In addition, John has unique relationships with investment bankers allowing him to provide thoughtful advice and assist clients with buy / sell opportunities for their businesses and pre-event strategic wealth planning to better manage significant wealth across generations. Prior to joining Rockefeller, John held a series of Advisor positions with Salomon Smith Barney, Deutsche Bank, J.P. Morgan and Merrill Lynch.

John is an experienced Portfolio Manager with his CIMA®, who, in addition to providing traditional advice and guidance, can help clients pursue their objectives by building and managing personalized investment strategies, which may incorporate individual stocks and bonds, model portfolios, and third-party investment strategies including a wide range of alternative investments. John earned his B.A. in Finance from Loyola Marymount University and also earned his Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) designation.

John lives in Manhattan Beach, CA with his three children. In addition to spending time with his family, John has been a commissioner of numerous youth soccer, football, and basketball organizations. An active member of the community, John supports many local non-profit organizations. He enjoys skiing, volleyball, pickleball and golf and spends time with family at his Promontory home in Park City, Utah.
