David North

David North joined Rockefeller and the MWM (Merlin Wealth Management) team in February 2023.  Prior to Rockefeller, David led a long/short equity hedge fund focused on the Consumer, Industrials and Technology sectors at Due North Capital.  He also worked for GMT Capital for 7 years, serving as a Portfolio Manager where he was responsible for managing the Consumer and Industrials P&L, a $5B long/short hedge fund.  Additionally, David spent four years as a Senior Consultant for Clarkston Consulting, advising several Fortune 500 companies in the Consumer and Healthcare industries.

David received his Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology.

A native of South Africa, David now lives in Dunwoody with his wife, Kristi, and their two young kids, Miller and Brooke.  David met Kristi at Georgia Tech, where they were both All-American tennis players.
