Daniel W. Spainhour, CAP®

Dan began his career as an Assistant Golf Professional before he accepted an offer from Insteel Wire Products to become a District Sales Manager in 1993, covering thirteen states in the Mid-West. His financial services career began in 1996, when he accepted an offer from Sheila Shaffer to join Legg Mason Wood Walker at their Washington DC branch. Dan and Sheila have been working together ever since.

Throughout the years, Dan has gained invaluable experience by fulfilling various roles and duties for their clients. He has served as a Client Service Representative, Registered Marketing Associate, Financial Advisor, Account Executive, and Wealth Manager with the team that would eventually be known as Shaffer Wealth Partners. Dan and team accepted an invitation to join Rockefeller Global Family Office in October of 2023.

Dan holds Series 7 – Registered Representative, Series 66 – Registered Securities Agent and Investment Advisor, Insurance Licenses, CAP®-Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy, and is an alumnus of The Florida State University.

Living in Mount Airy NC, he still enjoys golf, and relaxes with a good book in his spare time.
