Tony Chang is a Private Advisor, Vice President with the Rockefeller Capital Management office in Mountain View, California. While he focuses on the entire spectrum of financial market related services for his clients, he is also the program manager for the development of information platforms for his office, and steers the long term vision behind the technological advancements to facilitate growth. Tony also provides advisory services to the next generation of UHNW families, directly advising his clients on investment products and allocation, as well as taxation and estate planning strategies.
Tony began his career at MDL Information Systems, where he developed chem-informatics database products and reagent management software for the pharmaceutical industry. His transitioned to finance at Lehman Brothers Tokyo, where he was the lead software engineer on the Multi-Family Construction Lending platform used in evaluating and originating construction loans. He subsequently specialized in analytics and big data methods for the Financial Services sector within the consulting division of TIBCO Software. Prior to joining Rockefeller, Tony was the Director of Analytics at Financial Clarity Inc., a bespoke multi-family office that provided advisory services to technology industry leaders.
Tony earned an MBA in Finance from McGill University, an MA in Economics from the Graduate Institute of Policy Studies in Tokyo, Japan, and his undergraduate degrees in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, and Japanese Language at the University of California, Berkeley. Tony is also Treasurer and Board Member at the Sunnyvale Sister City Association, a 501(c)(3) organization. He is currently studying to complete his CFA examinations.
