Gehret D. Shemeld

Gehret is a Private Advisor, Senior Vice President at Rockefeller Capital Management. Gehret began his financial services career in 1980, joining Merrill Lynch Wealth Management through the merger with Bank of America Investments, Inc. As part of his disciplined approach, Gehret establishes an appreciation of each client’s motivations – enabling him to craft agreed-upon strategies in which key aspects of clients’ financial goals are addressed. Gehret also holds the Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM designation.

A lifelong resident of Northern Virginia, Gehret holds a Bachelors degree in Economics from the University of Virginia. Gehret and his wife have one son, live in Fairfax, and enjoy tennis and sailing. Gehret has long been active in his community – having served as President of Fairfax Little League and Commissioner of Fairfax Police Youth Club (FPYC) Basketball.
