C. Lee Ives III, CFP®

C. Lee Ives III is a Private Advisor and Senior Vice President at Variant Path Group within the Rockefeller Global Family Office. Lee’s facility with numbers and analytics adds greatly to the team’s holistic wealth management process and brings a disciplined methodology to portfolio construction.

Born and raised in Charlotte, Lee majored in Accounting at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and worked in public accounting for 12 years before he felt called to carry on his family’s tradition of providing clients with sound financial advice by partnering with his father, a successful Financial Advisor with a Morgan Stanley predecessor firm. After his father retired, Lee continued to advise his clients on their investments and other dimensions of their financial lives for nearly 30 years before joining Rockefeller in 2024.

Throughout his career, Lee has strived to enhance his knowledge and expertise by earning a number of prestigious industry credentials, including the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation.

Outside the office, Lee has always been an active member of his Charlotte community. An Eagle Scout, he sits on the finance committee of the Myers Park Presbyterian Church where he has also served as an Elder and Deacon. In addition, he is a past president of The Sportsman Club of Charlotte and has been an avid supporter of The Allegro Foundation and the Men’s Shelter of Charlotte. He and his wife Carol reside in Charlotte and take great pride in their two daughters.
